Small change goes a long way
A minor update has gone a long way for the requisition process.
The Supply and Utilities module has enhanced their authentication process for ERP users accessing requisition programs.
Prior to the modification, the authentication process involved ERP users to enter their requisition code and pin up to three times, which was required for security purposes. This was time consuming and caused additional work for clients who had less stringent authentication requirements.
Under the enhancement, users are verified through their initial login. Their identity is then retained throughout the session.
This change will have the biggest impact on maintenance personnel and general requisitioner ERP users. It will save them time completing tasks in a variety of areas across Pulse Mining ERP:
- Creating and maintaining Picking Slips,
- Purchase Order creation, modification and placement,
- Electronic Requisitions, and
- Work Order Parts Management.
A requisition is an electronic document that formally requests purchase of an item or service. It follows an approval hierarchy for spend and purchase, and when approved will be converted into a Purchase Order.
